Free GPS program

Is there any free GPS programs for the Sprint Touch, without getting a new ROM or anything like that. Just an application that works well.

Well a little help would've been a lot more effective. I'm not so efficient at using the search function that's why i came here asking.

add a "?" to the end of your post title will be helpful to others as well.

NO free or paid, you must up grade the rom and radio to activate the GPS hardware.

Not sure I understand your question. Without the newly released ROM, the internal GPS is not activated, so installing any GPS mapping software would be useless. You have to upgrade to the new ROM to take advantage of the built-in GPS radio. Once that's done you can use Google Maps' "my location" feature which will give turn by turn directions based on search criteria that you enter.

When you update to the latest rom, you get Sprint Navigator for free, and combined with Live Search and Google Maps for their search capabilities, which are also both free, it should be all you need. I've been playing with Sprint Navigator and it seems to work fine. No need to bloat your phone with more software than it needs.

Check out Google Maps mobile. It uses tower triangulation, but I am unsure if this feature works on the stock Vogue, to be honest.

The other guys are right, well the guys who weren't being ****s. You'll need to get a ROM (a modified version OS on your phone) on your phone to get the internal GPS activated. See this thread.

Welcome to the forum. It's unusual for people to reply to an email, since this is a forum where you're expected to be an active member. I'm trying not to be hypocritical here, but you should be an active member and not expect people to send you an email (especially since you can subscribe to the thread and be notified in an email).

When You do Upgrade to get Gps Working. you
You can try this program for turn by turn
navigation. Its free for now since its a
beta and it does not have the nice interface
like the ones you pay for but it does the job.

Be careful - Navigator is not free for everyone. For example, it's included in my spouse's BlackBerry plan. I have free PowerVision (grandfathered) and the navigation app is not included. I think the app does come free with SERO.
