I've always used a screen protector. The first thing I did when I took my Touch out of the box was to put it on. When it gets worn, I'll replace it with the Seidio.

I'm still waiting for my Touch to arrive. But I do know that the Centro comes with a protector built onto the phone (says so in the manual). Has anyone read the manual and see something similar?

In all honesty why wouldn't you want to protect an investment...unless you make a mad amount of money and just like throwing it away on insurance claims, or at very best screen replacement.

Is like buying a couch and wrapping it with surround wrap (Grandma used to do that, and I hated it).. I SAY NO TO PROTECTION... Walk on the wild side... (like someone said in this post earlier, think of it as a condom, NOT much fun wearing one)
Listen I have my touch now for a year+... Wore the screen protector for the first month or so but couldn't stand the lack of touch sensitivity... I decided to remove it and it has been great ever since.. Not a single scratch...
Also remember that Protectors scratch much easier cuz they are plastic and a cheap one at that...But the screens are some sort of tempered glass that resists scratches...
Like I said over a year without one and not a single scratch yet...

I had a Treo before my Vogue, the screen protector was a MUST.
But with my Vogue... ummmm... I never felt the need... the screen doesn't scratch that easily. I do try to use my fingers as much as I can, and avoid the stylus at all cost, and so far the screen looks like new. I am VERY careful with it, though.
I won't recommend to anybody to "go bare back", but if you like it and enjoy the ride, be resposible and don't come back crying when you start oozing pink... :mrgreen:

I was just wondering if any of the 46 people that have voted they don't, have any gotten any scratches on their screens? I use a boxwave crystal. Fits great, but it developed a scratch on it. Portenio posted above that screen protectors are plastic and scratches easier then the tempered glass screen. I don't abuse my phone, so maybe a scratched plastic screen protector isn't doing much good for my tempered glass screen.

Not all screen protectors are created equal. I've found the cheaper generic ones get scuffed up pretty quickly and have to be replaced. But I've had Writeshield screen protectors on PDA devices for over a year with no scuffs or scratches at all. I don't know exactly what they make them of, but they are very tough.

Yes, I have scratches on my screen. I don't use protection. It gives it ... character :P
I actually wish I had a high quality screen and I did have one on my 1st touch until it got replaced for its own issues. I just was too lazy to get another one and voila... scratches. After the 1st scratch, I'm just like whatever now.
