Help USB connection not working after Last ROM Update
 

None of my computers will recognize my Touch after my last Rom Update. I've checked to make sure it wasn't a Windows issue, but none of my three machines will recognize my Touch anymore. when you plug it into Windows it doesn't even do that normal sound Windows makes when a new USB device is plugged in. I'm pretty sure something went wrong in one of the many flashes I did one day. I dont' know if it's ROM specific or not. I'm running the 2.31 SPL right now with a new GPS rom. This happened after I upgraded to the .2 leaked Sprint Rom.

If I put the phone into tri color screen and plug it in, it does say USB in the white bar, but Windows won't beep to recognize the phone. I can still do ROM updates using the card method, but I can't do anything USB related except for charge my phone. Does this sound like a hardware issue, and if it is, how do I get rid of the unlocker so I can return it to Sprint?

The new ROM resets your USB settings on your phone to use "Advanced network functionality". Go to settings, Connections tab, USB to PC, and uncheck the box.

I've tried resetting that setting. But as I said in my first post, it won't even connect to my computer when I put it in the tri color screen, and that' uses no part of the ROM itself.

So unchecking the box allows the sync to work? My phone also did this yesterday after some updates.. I didn't think much of it because I ran the battery down to 10% and I just figured it needed a certain amount of charge to run sync, so I put it on wall charge and went to bed.

I needed to uncheck that box to get mine working. After the official update I noticed Activesync was not working (an error message was popping on the computer saying so when I plugged in the phone). I went to this menu, and the box was checked again. So I unchecked it and it works fine again. YMMV.

I think mine is a problem with the hardware. I was having problems months ago where if the phone was touched a slight bit it would lose the connection with the computer. I'm going to have to take it back to sprint for a replacement, only thing is I don't know if I can get rid of the 2.31 unlocker without a USB connection.
