Bluetooth headset problems when calling or receiving calls
I've been having this problem frequently with the official Sprint ROM 6.1:
When I call or receive a call, many times my Sprint HTC Touch would disconnect the Bluetooth during the call. Then, fter the call, the Bluetooth connects again. Next call, same thing happens again, Bluetooth disconnects until the call is over. This has happened on 2 different headsets, so I don't know if it's my headsets or my phone. The headsets I use are the Jabra BT8040 and the Motorola S9. I try removing the connection profile between my Bluetooth and resetting the Bluetooth headset. This usually allows me to use my headset properly. But then, later in the day or the next day, the same problem occurs again. I also thought it may be having both headsets connected, so I've been running w/ just the Jabra profile connected, and still having the same problems day in and day out. |

Re: Bluetooth headset problems when calling or receiving calls
I have seen this issue in previous ROMs and as well as multiple devices - Jawbone 2 and my car. Sometimes the device will reconnect automatically, but other times it won't reconnect at all. I don't know of a fix, but there are a few work arounds I have tried when the device doesn't reconnect.
1 - If I initiate the connection from the bluetooth device, it will reconnect the phone immediately. I’m hoping the reverse would be true (initiating a connection from the phone to the device), but I cannot locate a program or method of manually initiating a bluetooth connection to a paired device. (this thread is looking for the same thing: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread...uetooth+manual) 2 - If I turn bluetooth off and back on, the device connects again and usually stays connected. I haven't been able to come up with a better solution or find a fix to the issue itself. Hope this helps... |
