Is There a Free Navigation/GPS program?

I love the sprint Navigation program, but I'm not paying 9.99 a month or 4.99 a day for it cause I don't use it that often. Is there a free GPS program that gives Turn by Turn directions?

I'm currently using live search but it doesn't give turn by turn with voice.

It says its for Java phones on their homesite, but they have a Windows Mobile client as well.

Google Maps works for me.

You get turn by turn directions and if you press "show" you get the GPS map.

TomTom7 is the answer, but you got to look hard for it on the web. I found it after 10 minutes searching, not the fastest but I found a good copy. Can't share it sorry warez policy.

I think the OP is looking for a voice feature as well as turn by turn

Go with Sprints Simply everything plan, then use Sprint Nav to hearts content! :headbang:

Google "Tomtom 7 Repack with North_America_720.1803 map"

Use the quotes so Google searches for it exactly as typed. Then go to betogat's post and thank him/her.

Yes, TomTom, Garmin, iGuidance, and iGo all work well and have voice navigation, however, they are not free. You can find them easily on torrent sites, but you said free...so the one i suggested is just that...free. It works pretty well. Sprint Nav works great too and is also free on many Sprint plans.

This program is free and still overpriced. Poor routing and no POI's. This program will not give you efficient routes, either. I know the fastest route home in my sometimes hourly commute home, and this program took me on the scenic route that I first took to get used to the area (this was pre-GPS era). Buy a more advanced program. You'll get to your destinations faster and have more time to live your life

Most of this is true, however, I have successfully used Amaze for local directions and it worked just fine. Dont forget as well....Amaze is still in Alpha.

I mean..it IS free. The title of the thread was...Is there a *free* GPS program. Your other choice it to pirate (or buy) one of the other applications...which I freely admit, I did myself :)

A lot of GPS apps are free. Maps are never free. These people are talking about warez already. Torrents are warez! if U tell them to get it via torrents, U r breaking the house rules. No warez talk everyone.

Re: Is There a Free Navigation/GPS program?

You might want to try Nav4All. It's free until 2010 and seems to work pretty well. You do have to prime the GPS first by starting with Google Maps or Live Search.

+1 For garmin very finger friendly and I love that detour button. Worth the money. But for free google maps is nice. The search feature is wonderful.
