Which uses more battery? Push email or sending/receiving?
Hey just had a quick question on which form of pulling my email drains more battery. I would think that its push email since its connected 24 hours? I have been using the seven beta program for push email but sometimes it refuses to work(Probably Gmails server thats at fault). So i was thinking of just setting up the POP3 gmail from the phone and having it send/receive every 30 minutes. Would this form use less battery or are they about the same??

Re: Which uses more battery? Push email or sending/receiving?
It depends mainly on how much email you receive. As a rule of thumb push email will be more efficient if you receive over 1 email per hour compared to POP3 polling every 10 minutes.

As a reference, I'm getting push from company exchange (75+ email per day) and I've had no problem with battery life. At the moment I'm getting about 24 to 30 hours before charging. Of course, I'm not constantly on my phone all day either..
