I need help from a Bell user using PRI 1.33 + GPS and has MSL, QPST would help too!!

I need you to run ##DATA# from your phone app, Go to view info at the bottom left and then select advanced.

I Need to know what the LBS IP Address is and also the LBS port #. If you don't have this mabey a screencap???

Also If you have QPST, log onto your phone, go to the gpsOne tab, Tell me all the info you have there!(or screencap)

Also If you have a stock rom and no gps I am curious what settings you may have as well on the ##DATA# tab.

Thanks!
Joel

QPST is a qualcomm service tool, it's not on the phone. It's something you would have to install/setup on your pc to dock your touch to your pc and read all the extra info.

How long do your locks take? out of curiosity?

From a cold start it takes around 3 minutes. But after that on average about 10-15 seconds. The ROM I am running now seems to be the only ROM where the GPS does not die with time (knock on wood)

I forgot Aswell, open up your registry got to HKLM>Software>HTC>SUPL_AGPS.. What info do you have in here? Also does your agps seem to work? (you get locks that show you within a kilometer of your location before the GPS locks an actual satellite)?

If more than a few people on bell that have working gps can share this info along with your lock times, radio and rom I might be able to figure out why my GPS just plain sucks with the latest sprint radio and rom and also post an agps solution for bell users, as it was working prior to the flash( IT would position me in the general area of ottawa, not in the ocean.) I'm sure there is a missing link

Follow these instructions inside QPST to improve your GPS on bell...

http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index...me=TitanGpsFix

Make sure you have the newest 3.42 radio installed...it will give best results!

I have tryed that a few times... and a bunch of variants..

What do you have in your registry i mentioned above, out of curiosity? I have about 4 ip's and ports for various providers.

Re: I need help from a Bell user using PRI 1.33 + GPS and has MSL, QPST would help to

You should NOT put an IP there! This function is more or less redundant.

Understand the way aGPS works...it uses the cellphone towers assistance to get you the data. In network terms, it uses something similar to DHCP. When you try to use aGPS, the phone receives a signal from the tower that will include the IP of a server that will help you in the location process. Forcing an IP will do more harm then good.

If you don't get aGPS you are doing something wrong as all towers in Northern America support it. Make sure your radio is 3.42+ and you follow those steps...you should get locks of 7+ satellites within +/- 10 seconds on any provider.

I am running Dharvey 2.7.2 ROM, Soon going to 2.8.

I have used 3.35, 3.37, 3.42 and the best results came from 3.37.15. Recently I upgraded to the official Telus radio 3.41 and this is the best one I have tried.

The only hacks I did was the PPST for Bell. Than a hard reset.

The 3.42 radio gave me alot of problems and I could never get a accurate fix, 3.41 changed that.

HKLM>Software>HTC>SUPL_AGPS <<<- What do you have in there ip port? Also what mode are you set to?

Mabey this is part of my problem... I have changed my settings in qpst to what I recall was the default on my GF's stock touch,(aka no ips, and using DBM, everything checked) but I am still being located in the ocean....

I have tryed all the latest PRI's from telus and sprint and reprogrammed them. nothing. I'm going crazy over this stuff. Even when I sit out on my porch and wait it still takes 5+ minutes. There has to be a simple solution that I am missing.

I am going to try running QPST, but I am having issues from the link provided. I cannot dial the ## 3424. It does not work. I have even tried using the Phone codes application that came with the ROM. But still not working. What other program can I use that will accept command line. I tried using command prompt, But it does not seem to find the file.

Nevermind figured it out. But still can't get QPST program to recognize it

I had the same problem, When you open qpst it brings you to the ports screen. You click add new port take the check out of "show serial and usb/qc diag ports"

This will bring up a bunch of extra ports, add them all. then when you connect using DMR( you can go to the windows folder and open it from there) it should say surf 7500 connected.. thats the one you want

http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index...me=TitanGpsFix

Some pictures there for you to show you what you should be seeing!

Can you let me know that registry information? That would really be helpful!
