Activesync + linux
 
Was wondering what I would have to do to get activesync or the driver from activesync to work on linux..am trying to get internet on my linux laptop through my phone...

what linux anddo you know how to build programs from source? only reason i ask is because i have the modified usb teathering driver for 64 bit gentoo

With z-push you can set up your own unix/linux activesync server.

Instructions for installing SynCE in ubuntu/kubuntu/xubuntu (HERE).

Write back if you have any issues and I'll try to walk you through it.

Here's the rndis source i talked about, this is for anyone that cant get SynCE to work and is only the driver needed to teather!

Install Instructions:
Code:

1) Unpack the tar
2) Open a command line and navigate to that folder
3) Type configure and hit Enter
4) Type make and hit Enter
5) Type make install and hit Enter

You MUST have a compiler installed to do this!!! and i repeate this method is for anyone, like me, that can't install SynCE (it hates both my 64-bit systems).
