Phone as modem question
 

Can someone tell me why the connection manager says I am connected to Sprint PCS and then it says phone as modem. Is this supposed to be this way? If not how do you fix it?

What Rom are you using?

suppose to put sprint pcs.
on connections settings make sure its on #777

than hit edit, and put name Sprint PCS and put cellular line as modem

I got the same problem. I am using the new leaked sprint rom for my touch from DCD. when i first access the net from my phone it says sprint pcs but after I browse the net on my phone for a while and I check my connection by hitting the EV symbol by the signal bars it says phone as modem and im not even tethering! has any one else had this problem? I also downloaded the cab file for the registry to tether. any help would be appreciated thanks

With Sprint this comes pre-configured exactaly as you have above.
