Interesting New Antenna Issue

I have a Wilson Antenna and Amplifier that I've used with the 6700 for years. However I went to use it on the Vogue the other day and when I disconnected it I've lost the signal all togeather and the phone is barely functional. Some how it appears that the pin inside the phone for the antenna hole has either broken or gotten stuck disconnecting it from the internal antenna. This appears to be a perminate break. Until I feel like sending the phone back I took a makeshift needle and stuck it in the hole and it seems to work ok for now..... I'm not sure if this is a global issue with the phone or just a one time thing but I would really think twice before connecting an external antenna/amplifier to this phone..

i know this was a problem with the titan, you had to be very careful about how you put the antenna in or it broke the connection to the internal one.

The exact same thing happened to me.....tried to use an external antenna and the phone became worthless. The phone wasn't picking up towers and I couldn't get more than one bar of signal strength. I took the phone back to a sprint dealer and they just swapped it out.

Sadly I'm with Verizon and also have the "Cracking Issue" they think they phone has been abused and will not replace it :(

If not too far OT, can someone steer me in the right direction for a good external antenna, or is it better to invest in a local signal booster?

Thanks!
