Changing to Roaming only after newest ROM upgrade?
 

I noticed that after the newest ROM upgrade they removed the Roaming only button. Now there is only Sprint only and auto. This being said, when I'm at my house my phone has a tendency to get really hot and kill the battery within a couple of hours. My last Sprint phone I had did this too. I used to be able to set the phone to roaming only and it would be fine.

I'm thinking that the phone is trying to jump between towers, I live on the lake so Vermont isn't that far away from me on the NY side. Is there a reg hack for the phone to add this option in? Or did they nuke it with the radio upgrade?

According to this thread in the upgrade forum, there is just such a reg hack! I haven't tried it myself yet, but others reported success. Read the whole thread though, there are a couple you have to do to make it stick.
