My [rather elaborate] Wish List
 
...for the Sprint Touch so far-

I know there's already a thread on [something like] this, so sorry in advance for any redundancies.

Are there any hacks to do the following (without some dramatic overhaul of the UI or costly 3rd party apps)?

1. Haptic/vibrational feedback when typing text on the HTC qwerty keyboard (unlike dialpad hack)
2. Screen randomly turns on b/c of network change (roaming/Sprint). I disabled all other on-screen notifications but can't seem to find an option for this.
3. Faster - Everything lags atleast 1/2 second in the HTC Home area.
4. Wish there was a scroll wheel instead of the cheap plasticky volume slider.
5. Some way to reassign the dpad center button to redirect to the Today screen, such as in iPhone.
6. Revised stroke patterns for image manipulation in the photo gallery. Too often have I tried to zoom in/out, only to realize that the image reoriented itself to portrait mode.
7. 3.5mm headphone/set jack
8. Some way to run Java apps from the Today Screen
9. Matte/non-reflective screen cover (The glossy POS I have now is a pain in the *** outside when the screen is dim).


Fear not, I will soon think of more and post them for your reading pleasure.
Until then, how can I fix these?

You can run (Gmail and opera mini ) with this from the today screen.

Considering you have hardware features listed here, I'd suggest you call Sprint/HTC hardware designers and make your request there. Those are certainly not "hacks".

You're right. 'Hack' was kind of a misnomer -- Fixes/modifications/etc?
