Data Services Running Non-Stop
 

Hey all -

Wondering if anyone else has noticed an issue with their phones. I am running OMJ rom (3.02.651.2) on my 6900 with the 3.37.15 radio.

I have noticed recently (within the last few days) that everytime I look at my phone, my data arrows are lit up on my phone, non-stop. The only way I can get them to go away is to manually go and kill the data services from the Comm Mgr.

I do tether from the time I get home in the afternoon, until I go back to work the next morning.

Wondering if anyone has any suggestions. I removed all applications (I had SeVEN installed) so nothing should be trying to access the web or data.

Help me out if you can! All suggestions appreciated!!

is activesync always running? if so you might have the option to synchronize your phone to network time on. that polls the internet whenever you switch towers i believe.

I think I might have nailed it.....I reprovisioned the Internet via

Settings -> Connections -> Comm Manager -> Settings -> Phone -> Internet -> Get Settings -> Start

This seemed to resolve the issue temporarily.

I do have Active Sync disabled, but it seems that the data just likes to keep coming back on.

This is killing my battery life!!!

on omjs custom rom..when i went to Settings -> Phone -> Services -> Location Settings and turned gps off..then disabled the gps today plug in..that helped my battery life alot..i just turn my gps on when i need it..

i get so much battery life now its rediculous
