Help my Messaging will not open
 

Could someone please help me. I have the sprint htc touch and everything was working fine until this morning. My messaging will no longer open, I cannot receive or send email or text. This is the 3rd time this has happend and the only way I have found to fix it is to hard reset. Has anyone had this problem that can help me?

Does it give an error message or anything?
How are you trying to access it (through a interface like Mobile Shell or other, or straight from the start menu...etc)?

Only thing liek this that happens to me, is that sometimes SMS-Chat and Eye-Photo (both by VITO Technology) won't open, and I will have to do a soft reset to get them to be able to open.....

i had that happen to me after installing the new 6.1 and after trying to install a full version of touchpal on omj 6.1. the whole thing stopped working and had to hard reset. if this is happening to you after you install something i just installed to my storage card instead and now everything works great!

I had this happen to me on Saturday. I spent 3 hours on a chat session with Sprint with no resolution. After the tech found out that I had disabled HTC Home and Sprint Home he told me that what ever I had loaded to replace it was causing the problem and told me to unload it. The problem with this advice is that I had not changed my phone in months and I have the orginal ROM. The only new application I added was SPB Backup, replacing Sprite Backup. The other Today plugins I have, which I loaded the day I received my phone in January, are TodayAgenda and WeatherPanel. In January or Feburary I replaced the stock Cube with Vista Cube 2.0. Some time before March I installed Vista Dialer.

Will yesterday, Sunday, I was able to access Messaging (Email and Texting). On Saturday I did a hard reset three times and that did not work. I gave up and desided to take my phone to Sprint on Sunday. When I woke up Sunday afternoon and tried to access Messaging everything worked.

Do you use a storage card for attachments etc.? Sometimes, an inbox archive on the storage card can become corrupt and it will cause messaging not to open at all. Try deleting the inbox from the storage card, and then open messaging.

I do have a 4g storage card and there is a mail file it. I switched from a 2g to a 4g card because my 2g got corrupted.

All,

I took out my memory card and did a soft reset and then put the memory card back in and messaging now works. Would anybody know what that would be the case?
