Predictive text not working with new ROM
 

Hello all. I installed the new ROM yesterday on my Sprint Touch, and although the threaded SMS is nice, my predictive text feature isn't working. I've checked all of the settings and they are all set to work, but I do not get the black box above the text entry box with the word suggestions. (I have it set to suggest 4 words after 2 letters) Anyone else having this issue?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

What keyboard are you using? I use the full qwerty and need to choose T9 over ABC to get word complete. It's the button next to the space button.

agreed, the default setting is to ABC, you need to switch it over to T9. and also go into options and make sure the language is set to English. my diamond keyboard was set to Italian

I had word complete working fine in other ROMs with the full keyboard -- just not in this one.

on a side note, I think the predictive text on this rom pales in comparison to the stock 6.0. the dictionary is a lot smaller, and I have to type the majority of each word in before it comes up with the correct word. maybe it just needs to train more for me, but it's definitely annoying..
