extracting the radio

Does anyone know how to extract the radio from the new vogue roms, ive noticed that all roms have been shipping with 2 nbhs and in the case of the the sprint one, 1.nbh houses the SPL and GSM and 2.nbh has the SPL, Bootsplashes, the OS and UNKNOWN. can anyone tell me what the unknown is and how to extract just the radio, ive tried just extracting the GSM and rebuilding a package which resulted in the nice No Radio.

Yeah your best bet is to flash the whole rom to get the radio upgrade

Re: extracting the radio

Looks to me like the Unknown.nb is (1) a BIOS of some sort because has A LOT of battery/memory/processor or (2) Part of the radio because it talks a lot about wlan and some gps or (3) possibly part of a PRI??? im leaning towards 1 and 3 seems a bit far fetched.

I also found a lot of references to .c files

Re: extracting the radio

unknown.nb is the radio. The new roms use a 785 header and it requires it to be a valid package and proper SPL to install properly. this is why you see all the tutorials saying to load the full EXE then load a custom

Re: extracting the radio

if unknown.nb is a radio why do we have a second nbh with only the spl and radio and then this nbh with everything?

Re: extracting the radio

It is a special version of the radio which allows it to run the new 785.nb (aka unknown.nb) to the phone. It needs the intermediate loader nbh for updates from the older radios/SPLs. That's why it always freezes somewhere like 11% and resets etc.

Re: extracting the radio

so would a new spl make it so we can flash just the radio? or do we need to make new tools to extract it right?
