HELP! Backup issue...
 

so i just started flashing roms and using the kitchen a few days ago...

I had to wipe my PC clean, so i lost my contacts, luckily i had them saved to a sprite backup6.1 file...

UNFORTUNATELY, when i flashed a new rom with the 3.37 radio, my back up will complete with errors and won't restore my contacts!

at bootup of backup file, my screen says its not for this rom and gives the option of installing to rom, device, or safe... i tried them all and no dice.

is there ANYTHING i can do to get my contacts back?... i can't just wait for everyone to call me and then save, thats way too many.

and i don't want to downgrade roms/radios cuz i've heard this could wreck my vogue...

anyone experience this or have some input?

You can only restore a backup to the rom it was taken from. I have reverted back to the old radio without a hitch. if you have insurance, I'd take the risk in a heartbeat to get my contacts back.

thanks man i'll give it a shot and see what happens... what if my phone locks up and i can't relock? my insurance is bunk then right?

no i have to reinstall MS Office and put them on the comp...

no prob buddy. glad it worked out for ya. I know how crappy it can be. i almost lost my contacts for no reason at all about 5 min after i made that last post!
