Phone just stopped ringing...
 

Ok, so i went on a little vacation the past few days. Towards the beginning my touch stopped ringing aloud. i havent added any programs or changed any settings for a few days. i still get the notifications and caller id stuff. and all my other sounds work, alerts and what not. i thought mRing was causing the problem so i uninstalled it but that help. Sorry its so vague, but i honestly dont know what the hell happened. one day my phone was perfect the next it wasnt. and im not even sure when it happened. i just noticed it.

These are the other programs i have installed resco brain games, resco explorer, htc htc home, juvs htc home sprint plugin v1, emunutz htc home customizer, dashwire, levey S2U2 settings, marco WMsnapshot, s2u2, live search, sprint tv, missingsync, S2P, pocket cm, diamond qwerty, usb modem, bluephone enabler, S2V, oz im, google search, skunkworks fkash bundle, tcpmp, handmark on demand, psShutXP, and flash player active x.


If anyone has any ideas i would really like to resolve this with out a hard reset.

That's so coincidental, because I was just about to post a similar issue.
I don't really know when this started happening for me, but sometime after I installed the "official" leaked rom, tomtom, google maps, a stopwatch program, and various other programs that should have nothing to do with system sounds, my ringtones stopped playing.
I will still receive calls, and the phone will still vibrate, but it will not audibly ring. If I put my ear up to the speaker, I can hear a slight hiss, like when a speaker is receiving power and is turned up, but no sounds are being played.
Is this similar to your issue? If so, I need help with it, too. If not, sorry for the hijack and I'll start my own thread.

Unfortunately, i am still on the stock rom. and far as i can remember i hadnt changed anything when this happened. I do not know if my phone still rings for voice calls as i hardly ever actually talk on my phone. When you go to settings to set the text ringtone will it play the preview? cause mine doesnt even do that. i can select any tone and press play but nothing happens. I just checked and it plays the incoming call preview, but still not for incoming text....

How did you solve your problem? Hrd reset or something else?

yeah, updated to the official rom and all is well again. =o)
