6.1 messaging
 

looking to see if anyone knows or haves the cab file for the threaded sms from the new 6.1 for my sprint touch. i currently have the cody sms but when i try to write a message the keyboard covers up what im writing. and yes i did a search and couldnt find the right one that i was looking for. so i would appreciate any help i can get. thanks in advance. also i do not want the new rom with the rev a or gps. just the threaded sms. thanks again for any help guys

the only way to get the 6.1 threaded messaging feature is to flash to a 6.1 ROM...

Sorry to hijack this thread, but on the topic of threaded sms, is there a way to back up my text messages on my phone if I'm using cody sms application?

Unfortunately there is no cab file for the threaded SMS from WM6.1. The threaded SMS is embedded so deep in ROM and is tied into so many different parts of the phone such as Outlook and the Phone app that it would be impossible to create just a cab file for it.

Personally I find that hard to believe though because if you install Palm Threaded SMS it takes over the SMS app 100% and removes the original SMS app that was on the phone and ties into Outlook just like the original SMS app. The only problem is it also has the same problem as codysms where the keyboard covers the input field.

i am running a cooked rom on my touch that has threaded messaging. My question is

I want to have the bubble pop up saying that it has been sent.

I cant find a way to turn it on.

I looked in registry there is no smsnosentmsg thing

Can anyone help??

What he said. It can't be done. Just upgrade your phone to 6.1 and you'll have it.
