Touch Output: USB to AV?

I was wondering if anyone has any idea if you can use usb to av cables to output video and/or audio.

I ask because I have a DVD player in my truck that has an input section and I would like to be able to play mp3s on it with a direct line. I do not want to bother buying a cable and plugging it in the unit if it will not work.

Correct. I use my touch as my mp3 player in my car.

You will need to Buy a few things. Go to radioshack and
they will probally know what you need. tell them its like
connecting an ipod to your car stereo except your going to
need an additional adapter for the splitter because the hole
for the audio jack is to small.

Re: Touch Output: USB to AV?

touch pro will include a video output, and will be the first htc phone I believe to include this (besides their UMPCs) - it isn't possible with any other models....

Re: Touch Output: USB to AV?

The Touch does not have a video output. Here is the pinout of the EMU connector on the touch:

hmmmm.

I appreciate it but can you tell me specifically. I really try to avoid talking to the employees at our radioshack. They are stupid and have HORRIBLE customer service.

well, ull need miniusb-2.5mm jack, then 2.5mm-to-RCA... then a 2.5mm cable to connect the 2...

correct me if i'm wrong

Re: Touch Output: USB to AV?

actually, its gunna be easier to find 3.5mm-to-RCA... so you can go with this mini usb to 3.5mm instead of 2.5mm

Good job guys. I am going to take out my unit and make sure I am not mistaken before I do this and report back on my results.

Has anyone tried to stream audio through bluetooth with a bluetooth compatible deck?

Re: Touch Output: USB to AV?

Why are you guys talking about buying the mini-usb to 3.5 mm adapter? My vogue came with it, also came with a splitter for 2.5 mm. Although its not really a mini-usb, as it has 11 pins. But is Alltel the only version that gets the adapter cables?

Mine came with an adapter but I am not sure which size jack.

3.5mm= 1/8" 2.5mm=3/32" Can you plug in the headphones from a cd/mp3 player? Most units come with the EMU -> 3/32" adapter.

i have the motorola T505 wireless module... 5 hr charge keeps you good for a week... clips on your visor and EVERYTHING is put through my car speakers! It even recalls the number of the person calling(wish it was the name tho :( ) so my music, calls, anything i do like stream media and my slingbox is clear as day out of my speakers.

the unit has bluetooth to connect with my device, and an FM transmittor which VOCALLY tells you what is the clearest station to tune to, AND it has a built in microphone which works AMAZING so your not using your phones mic.... i can drive on the highway at 70 with all windows down and still have a fine conversation on the phone... best 120 bucks i've spent

it beats the stock BT unit for my BMW which would have run me atleast 700 bucks(nothin fancy about it.)

Your incorrect, video and audio through RCA jacks is a go. Search through this find the pictures on how to correctly do it. I did the project and can connect my TP to anything that takes RCA jacks, like TV, projectors....I recommend you find the Y connector that came with the HTC mogul that looks like this http://www.cellularforless.com/images/SCB6800.jpg Now cut the headset part off and connect wires to the RCA jacks---search for links on what wire goes with what on this forum....I will try to find you the link...but I am sure, if you look for it, you will find it. Took me 30 minutes to do.
