Running an internet speed test on your phone?

How exactly do you do it so you can get that nifty little Speedtest box?

www.speedtest.net ... run a speed test and at the very end it'll give you the final results and let you caopy and paste the code anywhere you want... like i did for my sig line.

Re: Running an internet speed test on your phone?

If you're referring to the boxes like the one in my signature, I think the only way to do that is to tether your phone to a computer and run the test that way. Once you are connected to the internet through your phone, go to speedtest.net and run the test. After that, you will be given a link that you can place on your profile here that has an embedded HTML code so it will appear as an image.

Be sure to do the test when you have a good amount of signal, that way you'll see what your phone can really do (also might depend on local traffic, so try late at night).

You could do it through bluetooth or USB, but I personally like to use WMWifiRouter. Granted, it's the battery's worst nightmare, but it's really simple to set up and usually works pretty well.

Agh... I'm sorry about that, I didn't see where I was posting. I really wasn't trying to rub it in; they're both cool phones, just meant for different people with different preferences.
