GPS takes forever ** help please **
I have an HTC Touch (HTC 6900) from alltel. I've ran the unlockers & rom updates and and have rom of 3.04.671.2 and the radio 3..37.10. i've ran the 4 files that i thought i needed too to get the GPS to work. It take 30+ seconds to find 3+ satelites but my lat & longitude don't change for 30+minutes, if ever. I'm using GPS viewer to find satelites and monitor change. and Google maps for viewing. Any idea how to make this work MUCH MUCH FASTER???? ](*,)

Re: GPS takes forever ** help please **
I had probably the best GPS and ROM performace with OMJ's V2 ROM. All of the other ones including OMJ's V3 have been hit or miss as far as the GPS is concerned. The lastest OMJ V3 locks on to the satelites very quickly, but generally I need to do a soft reset before trying the GPS, or it never finds anything. I can't wait till Sprint finally releases an updated ROM with GPS enabled....

Re: GPS takes forever ** help please **
there is no OMJ v3 for Alltel. I believe the major v3 changes were for sprint stuff so he hasnt made us one. I still have problems myself some days with gps. I run OMJ2 with the 3.37.15 radio. Some days it still takes 4 minutes or more. A soft reset seems to help.

Re: GPS takes forever ** help please **
I used OMJ V2 as well and it worked great, but I couldnt get a good GPS lock until I ran PPST, It would know what city I was in, but could never lock in on my location, which I thought was weird. Anyways, I've had repeated results with this, after fully working fast GPS, I reflashed the Alltel ROM and radio, and lost gps again until I ran PPST, and it started working agian immediately.
