Adding shortcut icons to the Home page?
 

Hey guys, quick question. What is the best way to add some shortcut icons to my HTC Home page? Basically the bottom third of my screen space is unused and I'd like to pretty much have a copy of my launcher tab at the bottom of the screen so I could start pretty much everything I want right from the Home page.

What programs would you recommend to do this? I tried SPB Pocket Plus and it was very close to what I was looking for, except I couldn't put a 'Lock Phone' icon there for some reason. I can place the shortcut to lock in the launcher so I'm not sure why it wouldn't be available with SPB but I couldn't find the option, the only thing I could do was enable the stock Lock Phone feature, which I find is tiny and goes against the style I'm trying to maintain.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

There's a good number of task managers which do what you're looking for. Ultimate Launch is what many people use as it allows you to make pages that slide like a cube. It;s for the slightly experienced user however to get it just right and it costs under $20. There's good free ones also. Chris, have you tried tdLaunch? It's an easy to use freeware app for placing shortcut icons on Today Screen. CAB here:

In this thread is a file, post #8. Unzip it and place the files in \windows. It also includes a lnk file for your icons.

It contains devicelock.exe and devicelock.lnk. Then as far as a program...This will work with Ultimate Launcher or Spb PocketPlus. I use both on and off.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, I'll give them a try tomorrow and report back on what worked best!

On a side note, this forum in general has been a huge help in stumbling my way through my first PPC. Kudos to all.
