Thanks for telling us what he meant. Next time maybe you should let the person that made the comment tell me what he "meant" by it, and try reading my reply again. I said that the buttons are lit up by the lcd (on the board), no where do I say that it shares the same light source. At any of the normal light settings, if you disconnect the end/send lights from the board itself, then the LCD will not light up at all, and then when left at its lowest setting the lcd light will turn on again (I've tried it). SO, like I said, one cannot have one on without the other, unless you put the LCD at its lowest setting which is not the result the question asker is looking for (like I stated earlier).

Next time, when replying to someones comment, try not to come off as a prick, and you will get better responses to your feedback.
