Ghost calls
My touch makes calls while my phone is holstered or in my pocket. I use S2U2 so I don't understand how it does it, but I've gotten told many many times that I called them and the call was live until they hung up. Anyone else experience this and if so is there any way to make it stop.

Re: Ghost calls
Ive had the same thing happen before with mine. Sometimes even when its holstered, the cell button is pressed and it will call the last person. But since I have the 6800, the same thing will happen on the touch screen, so it might scrolll to a different contact and they will get called. I seem to have a problem with my programs starting like this to, cant seem to figure a way to stop it tho

Re: Ghost calls
I've had the same problem but I don't think it happens when the device is locked. It is just the case pressing the screen or a button as you move. When the device is locked the screen and all buttons except the power button are supposed to be disabled.

Re: Ghost calls
Have any of you installed any apps or mortscripts that only blank the screen instead of putting the device to sleep when you lock it? If so, that is likely your problem. I know that a lot of ppc users spend a good deal of time trying to find ways to allow music to play while the device is sleeping/locked. The easiest solution for most is just to turn off the screen instead of actually suspending the device (all about battery life). So, if you have installed anything attempting to do this, you might try experimenting by removing those apps/scripts to see if it fixes your problem.
Also, I believe the default setting in S2U2 is to activate S2U2 when the screen wakes. If this is your setting and you have one of the screen apps above, the touch screen would still be active. In this case, the quickest/easiest fix would be to change this setting so that S2U2 runs when the screen turns off. I believe the actual verbage is activate when backlight turns off. Also make sure the setting for "but blank screen only" hasn't been set. Hope this helps ... |
Re: Ghost calls
Also since you have S2U2 you may want to try turning off the soft keys and turning on the dpad to unlock as you have to hold the right button for a few seconds. im pretty sure that in your pocket or holster that button shouldnt get pressed and held long enough to unlock the screen.
good luck guys. :) |
