Sprint today plugin link customization
 

Hi all, I was wondering if there is a definitive thread for installing and/or customizing the Sprint Today screen 5-6 icon launcher? I've searched and I keep jumping around from thread to thread and can't really figure out what the final thread is on this.

I currently have a 5 icon setup, I can't seem to get the HTC home customizer to work, and if I could just customize what launches with each link I think I would be happy! So say I

phone, headphones (link doesn't work in my ROM, customize it?), album, livesearch (have this installed, but won't launch from this icon, customize?), and TV are the icons I currently have....

To edit the Sprint Home plugin, you have to edit the ql_skin_l.xml (landscape) and ql_skin_p.xml (portrait) found in the phone's Windows folder.

xencloud, sounds like you might be talking about the "HTC Home Sprint" today screen plugin (as opposed to the "HTC Home" plugin). So, no wonder HHC is no help! There's one really excellent post by Old Man Jenkins that has the info you need for getting started on your mission to edit those links (icons, and their locations too). It'll require some XML hacking, but it's not all that hard to figure out even if you're no whiz at it. Another choice is to use a different launcher (tdLaunch, cLaunch, Ultimate Launch,...). You know what though, actually after playing around with the sprint icons on my today screen, I think I just want to get rid of that entire bar. For how often I use any of those links, I really don't need them!

Anyone know how to get rid of that bar? What file to I need to track down and delete? Thanks again!

No need for anything that drastic, just adjust settings:

Start > Settings > Personal (default tab) > Today > Items (tab)

Just UNcheck the HTC Home Sprint plugin.
