HELP: Internet / Call Waiting - no missed call while using the internet
 

My girlfriend gets pissed everytime she calls me and goes straight to voicemail because I'm using the internet... which I use a lot because of my unlimited data plan (Sprint PCS/SERO).

This got me thinking there must be a way to still receive the notification that someone is calling while I'm using the net on my phone since all I'm really doing is being on a phone call but calling #777 instead of a friends number, right?

If I can have call waiting for a normal call, why can't I have it when I'm on the net? Is this possible? do I need a new plan, phone or do I need a new girlfriend? ](*,)

I believe if it is a steady data transmission the call cant get through. But if you are just web browsing the connection will go idle and the call can 'interrupt' your session. Although i am not 100% on this...

i don't know why you're having this issue, i use my phone to listen to internet radio almost every day, and when someone calls me the media player simply pauses along with my internet connection and lets the call through... once it's finished it immediately starts playing again, maybe it's the phone

I browse the net all the time and my girlfriend calls me in the middle of my reading or loading a website. I curse everytime this happens because my internet access is more important than hearing about what she did at work today.

I agree with superman 1101 i have the same plan (unlimited internet) i use youtube on internet very often but when someone calls me it auto pauses the music and the caller ID pops up on my screen I don't no why u have this problem
