both of you did not answer his question you just jumped the gun on the guy
the registry has those settings for a reason
and someone who does know about the registry structure in these units please share why this is in the registry when we know for a fact there is no wifi chip?

It is in the registry by default.

The hardware is not in the phone.

Thank you all. Please, forgive me my english, I'm russian, I wonder, how I can get (name sender) in the text masages? all items, I have received, comes with name: (unknown sender), but if I tap for it, I see contakt sender, ho was send it.

I beg to differ - I answered his question "does the 6900 have WiFi?". The answer is no.

Like XP/Vista, Mobile has numerous registry entries for which the average device doesn't have hardware - e.g. my Touch has a reg entry for USRobotics-PCMCIA_28800_Data/Fax.

No problem - you speak English much better than I speak Russian! I've forgotten 98% of the Russian learned in college.

I spent a year in China and picked up enough Chinese that I now admire people like yourself who can speak more than their native language!!

Are you saying that you receive text messages from people who are in your Contacts, but don't see their name in a text message until you tap something? (What do you tap?) What WM build are you using? 6.0? 6.1? Stock? Custom? Kitchen?

WM 6.1, yepp, I tap on the name sender, I say about (From: unknown sender) I see on head of the incoming messages. Hmm, I'm do not know about (Stock? Custom? Kitchen?) (eat) what is it fore?
