ok, as i stated in a previous thread, i just got a verizon vogue. im gonna bite the bullet and do a 6.1 update. so ive installed the installer program, and downloaded the 3 vogue options. my question is what all do i need to do it? the posts concerning this update are vague at best about carrier specific options so i need to know what all needs to be done for a verizon phone. please help, ive done this before on my 6700, but im stuck as to what to do.

dude, cmon, there are stickies that tell you step by step on what to do.. go to the vogue upgrades forum and check it out

why does everyone on this forum cop an attitude when someone asks for help. ive been to the upgrades section, there isnt anything specific to verizon, would it be really tough to just point me in the right direction?

i apologize for the attitude, its just often newcomers post new threads before searching, and it kinda gets old really quick.. and either way.. before starting a new thread you should just post in the ones that are related to roms and unlocking and such.. you would get your answers a LOT quicker anyway

ok well let me ask you this, ive got the installer done. i downloaded all three touch options. ive got the setup running now where its asking me what i want installed. my question is, if i set this up for verizon, is there any chance this is gonna be a bad flash? i mean is there anyway after doing it its not gonna run?

usually, whatever rom you are trying to flash will say its compatible with verizon.. an make sure you unlock with imcokeman's latest unlocker first

buildos will run the ruu, and it will fail if you do not unlock, so u have to

yes you must unlock and if you are staying with the stock radio then it should be the .40 unlocker but the REV/A and GPS radio will be the 2.31 unlocker and a flash to either the sprint leaked rom or the alltel rom but if you do that you will have to reset before letting the customizations to run.

yeah, but like i said if you are on a rom that was made for your carrier by one of our crafty chefs... you wont have to worry about resetting before customations take place
