I am running TOMTOM 6 and it works for me. Try either one of these methods. First prime the GPS by opening GPS VIEWER and then Google maps and then get a lock on the sats. Once the sats lock you can close Google maps but leave GPS Viewer running and then open TOMTOM and most of the time you will see the sat strength bars in the lower right corner displaying your sat strenght and your current position.
OR Prime agian open TOMTOM click the sat strength bars in the lower right corner, click the sat strength bars again just below the battery level icon, click configure, select "other bluetooth gps receiver" click select, click continue, click com 4 and then you should be able to see the various sats that your GPS Viewer is locked onto, click done and the map should show your current position.
Hope this helps.

i too used TOM TOM 6 and it worked great for me....with full bars.

1. GPS VIEWER and wait for locks
2. in TOM TOM 6 i used "Other NMEA GPS RECIEVER" as GPS device
3. Select your COM port to 4, and baud rate to 115200

That should work too...atleast for me it did...

if you use astrogpslauncher, you don't need to launch two programs to get tomtom working. read here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=364199

Select "other NMEA receiver" (or something like that) connected to COM4.

Use AstroLauncher to start. With a single shortcut, it will "prime" the gps and launch TomTom.

Btw,
Make sure the file, "mapsettings.cfg" (usually on your storage card) is not marked READ ONLY or you will not be able to save favorites, home, etc.
