Says I have a NEW text message but I don't, pls help
 

My phone says that I have a new text message, but I don't. I've tried doing a soft reset, but it doesn't go away. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

Not to pose a dumb question but are you sure it's not an icon for a new voice mail. That one will linger on if you don't listen to it. In some progs it's difficult to tell the difference.

are you using a rev a WM 6 cooked rom with gps and soforth? ifso you have the text message system that posts like IM's and even if you read the message and you dont reply to it ive found it doesnt mark it as read.. what you do is click on that message and then goto options and close the text message and the icon should poof! :)

There are two programs floating around that when I find I will link in this post. One is called Fix Unread Messages or something similar, and the other is called Mark All Read/InboxExtneder. Try searching for those and using them. I assume you have HTC Home and it is showing you 1 message unread?

On on Sprint and Derek's ROM v20. This same problem happened to me a few days ago. I have a feeling it was somehow related to a Voicemail problem because when I noticed the 1 unread txt msg, my Voicemail suddenly showed none. It may have been a coincidence tho.

I've tried FixUnreadCount.exe and that didn't help. I'll try this MarkAllRead thing someone talked about.
