Gmail Application Problem: Stopped saving password

Hi,
so about 3 weeks ago my gmail app stopped saving my login/password. I didn't do anythign differently (I've been in finals, so no ROM updates or anything fun).
I've reinstalled the gmail app, but I still have the same problems.
Anyone have any clue what's up?
Anyone know where the settings are saved? Maybe deleting those will help??
Thanks!

What gmail app are you referring to? I use gmail and have it set up through the default messaging program.

OK...well, best of luck in finding a solution. If you don't, you can always set configure your gmail account with IMAP through the default messaging program and have great results.

Thanks, I know that,
but I have been using the gmail application for years through multiple phones, and I prefer it. It syncs my phone emails with my computer emails perfectly, as I almost never plug my touch in to my computer (and actually won't be able to do it at my new job come September). I used to be an electrical engineer, and now I'm an attorney, I just don't see the point in not using the gmail app. My balckberry will keep me tied enough to the office as it is.

Now, I really don't understand all the resistance to using the gmail application on this forum. I see it often: new users asking the best way to get gmail on their phone, and people responding with details on the best mail program to use and the best push mail services.
The gmail app works smoothly and is very easy to use. I forward all but my new work email to my gmail, so I don't need any email application to handle multiple accounts. I don't have any use for push mail, as I'm in front of a computer for all but 30 minutes twice a day during my commute, and I enjoy having a "small" bit off freedom. Also, I don't want to have to plug my phone in to charge every 20 minutes because it's constantly checking for new email. I enjoy being able to go a day or so between charges, and that includes roughly an hour of email/new websurfing per day.

Anyways, anyone know anything about problems saving login and password on the gmail app?

Dag,

I've used the java applet Gmail app for about 3 months now, and honestly it has never lost my user name and password. Are you using the java emulator or are your referring to another one.

Hi,
I'm using the java based one and the jbed emulator.
It had worked perfectly until very recently. On my wife's treo, i've been logged in for almost a year now with no problems..
Thanks!

Hmmm.. Maybe a glitch in the Maxtrix? Just playing. But did this happen more than once or just one time it lost the password?

Maybe you should update your jbed?
