EVDO speeds and Support wanting to refresh aircard

Setup: I've been running JDs test ROM and enabled GPS and EVDO Rev a for about 10 days now.

Got a question: my data speeds dropped from the 1300kbs I was getting for the last two weeks down to barely above dialup speeds (anywhere from 50kbs to 182 kbs today-it was fine last night). I called Sprint support and they said all towers in my area are fine (but his first comment about whether they were having data issues was a Yes from the support guy). My phone shows full bars and EV icon. The support tech offered refreshing my air card, I turned him down and said I'd call back later if it was still an issue. I turned him down because I was not certain what his refresh/reprogram attempt would do to my unlocked-re-rommed phone.

Anyone know if their attempt to reprogram the aircard would -
1. expose me as a rom hacker?
or
2. break my custom rommed phone?

Thanks,
GT

Here's a question for you: have you tried doing a hard reset in the last two weeks? I would think there's some program on your phone causing the problem.
As for what Sprint wants you to do, do they know you're using a phone and not an aircard

He will probably re-provision your vision username and password. No worries on your end; he will have no way of knowing what rom you have and it will have no effect on how your rom works. As long as he doesn't want you to plug your phone in your computer and install something, Go ahead and do it.

First back up ALL your data, contacts, etc . Then hold the red and green buttons and insert your stylis into the hole by the usb port
