PdaNet BT DUN with GPS not working
With the Alltel ROM I can't seem to get PdaNet to work over BT. With the stock ROM I would connect to Activesync over BT, then connect to PdaNet when it recognized my device. With the Alltel ROM, I get the following error when I try to check the 'Enable Bluetooth DUN' box:
Unable to assign COM Port, please make sure COM7 or COM4 is available on your device. Bluetooth DUN will remain off. (err=2404) Obviously, the GPS is using COM4. I have no idea what's using COM7. But I can't use BT DUN. Any ideas of a way to make this work? Edit-I just tried it over USB as well, and it didn't work with that either. PdaNet is running on by my Touch and PC, but neither can see each other. Edit 2-Works over USB now after rebooting PC, but I'm getting the same error over BT. |
Re: PdaNet BT DUN with GPS not working
I just had the same issue with vista64. I just uninstallled pdanet from the device and vista and reinstalled. But now my gps isn't working. It didn't work well anyway so I'm happy Pdanet is working.
I like revision A. I seem to have much more stable connections and get 1.6 Mbs down and 0.4 Mbs up. |
Re: PdaNet BT DUN with GPS not working
Thanks for the help. Uninstalling and reinstalling on both my PC and Touch did the trick. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling on just the Touch, but that didn't work. I can also connect via BT if I connect to WMDC over BT, even with the BT DUN box unchecked in the PdaNet settings on my Touch. Working great now, got over 2MB down with a speed test while tethered!
