How to Update Radio and SPL Without Bricking?

I followed dHarvey's post and ended up bricking my phone not once .. but twice .. I have read through each one of the posts but each one has something slightly different from everyone else's. I know I am being a pain .. but can a Mod or someone .. give simplified steps for a n00b to get GPS/REV A. I am currently using JD's Sprint OEM 6.1 ROM

Thanks!

I followed Dhavey's instructions exactly and had no problem the first time. So without knowing exactly what you're doing or where you may be deviating I don't know how to help you.

That may be your problem. Look at the red and white part of the first tutorial in the first post.

YOU MUST FLASH CARRIER'S OFFICIAL ROM BEFORE USING THE 2.31.coke UNLOCKER! If you do not do this, you will end up with a brick. Plain and simple. I have it explained clear as day on that tutorial.
