Cannot get QuickGPS to download
 

QuickGPS won't download updates to save my life. And I can't get any GPS apps to lock onto a satellite.

I keep getting certificate errors trying to import registry files, so I modified the registry entries by hand and still cannot get the program to download info. I downloaded the modified QuickGPS.exe file, but am I supposed to run that in addition to the original file? That seems weird.

I'm on WM6.1 minmac00t REV A GPS Sprint Touch ROM v2.0. Radio 3.37.10.

replace the exe in your mobile device with the modified one. exe should be in your windows folder... that did the trick for me. i didn't have to modify registry

The modified exe needs to be copied in to the Windows directory overwriting the installed file.

But save yourself the hassle - QuickGPS does absolutely nothing at this point...

I wouldn't waste the time on this one. Many of us Mogul users setup QuickGPS early on. It doesn't do anything on our Moguls. Being that they are the same hardware I wouldn't think it would do anything on the Touch.

Then I must be having other problems. Whenever I try to overwrite the exe, it tells me the file is in use. I couldn't delete the shortcut and I can't import registry files. Not sure what is up with this build.

GPS Viewer recognizes GPS but can't find any satellites. At least I HAVE the hardware... Don't know why I can't lock into anything, though.
