GPS dead after 1 day use?
 

I read from others on this site about their gps not working nomore. Well.. i am a victim aswell. Is there anyone else? I used it all day yesterday and now I cant get t to work. And I did not change nothing.

Hmm, mine is still working. I check mine every couple hours and its still working fine, and I always check it while I'm inside. I'm using just the Alltel rom, didn't flash JD's.

I'm on JD's. it doesn't seem to get a fix inside. lucky you ajones.

but to htcuser-i'd say to dl dotfred's task manager and see if the gps processes are running on startup.

i'd probably just try reflashing to alltel and then back to jd's. softreset after everything. it helps.

There seems to be an issue with the drivers.

I have the same problem where after a while, the GPS stops working. This typically happens if I hadn't accessed the GPS for several hours.

Several soft resets and lots of patience for the first fix are the trick to getting it working again.

mine doesnt work at all anymore, using JD's rom, i kinda dont even care anymore, after 3 years with WM3/5/6, im getting really sick of windows mobile.

you know, after 3 hours last night of constant gps failsl i just went to sleep. This morning after getting ready i turned it on and went to brush my teeth and "bam" it was connected. this must be a dll problem

i hate to give up winmo, but i need my shiot to work man, not sometimes, all the time, and that blackberry curve is calling me...

i dont wanna give up my touch though, winmo6 just stinks.

Yo, your readin my mind man. Ive been leaning towards the Curve too ever since my mic jus suddenly stopped working one morning on my Touch & had to do an exchange. I really hope the 6.1 official ROM upgrade is worth the wait & will be a LOT more stable & reliable.

well not to take this thread off course, but may 7th looks like release day. been checkin hofo and sprintusers.com.

the thing is winmo is waayyy to versatile. i might just open up a 2nd line. and make the touch my second phone...so i can still satisfy my hacking addiction.
