Did you run thru the stuff you did with your mogul, including regedits? Baf's GPS plugin says that if your device turns off while it's set to on, your GPS will in sorta lag. I would sometimes forget I have the GPS enabled and press the power button. Afterwards the GPS would either not work or lag until I soft reset.

This has made a huge difference for me, it used to take a while to get a fix, if it did get a fix, but now it takes 5-10 seconds to get a fix on 6-8 satellites. let me know if it works for you.
