Re: GPS Performance

I manage to get google maps working with GPS, although it sometimes takes a few minutes. I however want to try it out with sprint navigation with telenav and see if it makes a different. The problem is that I cannot download it to my phone from sprint because it says that my device is not supported. Anybody here have the cap or know a way around it to get this?

Re: GPS Performance

I've tried everything suggested here and elsewhere, and no matter what I can't get a fix -- GPS opens, says acquiring, no fix, and no sattelites ever show (have left it over 30 minutes several times in a place where my other GPS devices get fixes quickly).

Change the following registry key
HKLM\Software\HTC\SUPL AGPS\
set GPSMode to 4

This has made a huge difference for me, it used to take a while to get a fix, if it did get a fix, but now it takes 5-10 seconds to get a fix on 6-8 satellites. let me know if it works for you.

I had already changed that registry key with no help. It still doesn't see any sattelites.

I think this applies to any program/plugin dealing with the GPS.. Also check this http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...&postcount=135.

I would sometimes forget I have the GPS enabled and press the power button. Afterwards the GPS would either not work or lag until I soft reset.
