Help. Lost Rev A!! Getting less than 1X speeds with 3 bars EVDO!!

I have been trying to figure this out for over 8 hours now(straight... I haven't slept). As you can see in my signature, I had Rev A on my phone at one point. It wasn't until the 4th time I started over from scratch that it worked for the first time and it was on the Alltel ROM that I saw the Rev A speeds.

I upgraded to jd's custom 6.1 "Rev A enabled" ROM and have never been able to get REV A speeds since then no matter what I tried. I have reverted back to the OEM Sprint 6.0 ROM 5 times now and from there upgraded to Rev A 6.1 over and over again.

I know how to do it. I wrote a tutorial on it.

This is really eating me and I'm starting to get tired and frustrated. You all have seen what Rev A speeds look like. Take a look at these numbers and tell me what you think.

ROM Version: 3.04.671.2
Radio Version: 3.37.10
PRL: 60711
PRI: 1.33_003

This was my recorded speed when I actually had Rev A working:

This is what I am getting now:

Here is a Sprint Coverage Map. I live in Olathe, KS.

As you can clearly see, I am in the Rev A coverage area.

Does anyone have any ideas? I'm desperate.

maybe put an arrow on the map for your city, cause it's like freakin where's waldo for me as I'm from Texas and never been to Kansas lol.

Not sure about your problem though, I wouldn't think the ROM would have much to do as long as it's compatible with the 3.37 radio. but I don't know much

I think the thing you need to remember is that as with any shared data service the fewer people who are using it, the faster the speeds you will get. I was getting around 400kbs at around 11:00pm last night. At 1:30am my speeds suddenly increased to over 900kbs! Now I'm back around 700kbs. The more people on the Rev.A network, the slower your speeds will be, because there is only so much bandwidth on the network.

And being in the same vicinity as the Sprint Headquarters (which you have pointed out several times) I would assume that LOT of people have Sprint, and probably most of them are on the Rev.A network. Is this making sense?

Yes unfortunately it makes alot of sense but is still very frustrating... I can't see a real reason why it should ever drop below 200kbs. I can understand losing bandwidth. I have Comcast and so does everyone else in my apartment complex so if alot of people are online, I notice pages take longer to load. I can understand getting 600-700kbps but 200? I'm ready to give up... This is just ridiculous...

could it be your prl?
mine is kinda old but its 60610

i can only suspect its a regional signal issue

i guess thats possible, especially with overland park being so close, but i really dont think its probable. its too drastic of a difference

I believe the 60711 PRL is the latest Sprint PRL so if anything, that should theoretically help.

i thought 60711 PRL was for data card specifically. i know the phones can use it too but you should probably try out 60612. that works for me. i haven't tried 60711 to compare

Did you try disabling evdo-a in ##data# ala http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=20905?

If you still cant get it working, just flash back to the alltel rom. It has been pretty solid for me.
