Problems with USB

My USB stoped working for both Activesync and power yesterday. I was going to take it into Sprint but I need to put to back to the Sprint ROM. Since my USB is not working how do I proceed?

Mines been not connecting very well lately, it will connect if I carefully insert the usb into the Touch not quite all the way (maybe like an 1/16 of an inch from being in all the way)
