Bluetooth Tethering to Nokia N800 Tablet

Yes, I know I can use ICS to connect my Touch to external devices. However, I cannot get the Bluetooth PAN connection to allow me to surf the internet on my Nokia N800 tablet. Does anybody else have the N800 or N810 and have you been able to connect via Bluetooth to gain this functionality? If so, please enlighten me on what I need to do. Thanks in advance.

yea, you have to install a hack to enable the Bluetooth Modem profile. Afterwards, pair up the phone with the Nokia Tablet, then connect using bluetooth with #777, no username, no password. On the phone, go to internet sharing and go to bluetooth PAN and use phone as modem profile. Hit the connect button and then you should be able to connect from the Tablet. I have done this for a customer before (I am a Sprint Tech). Let me know if you get it working (you should be able to find the hack for the bluetooth modem on XDA).

hey there Boss. I have the same setup going. Perhaps you can give a little more info on what xda is and about getting the proper (and where to get) profile into the Nokia.

Thank you in advance.

Thanks for the help. I downloaded maemo-pan and installed it on the N800. After that, the internet sharing worked perfectly. For anyone else looking to do this, you can download the application at:
