water damage

So my Touch ended up in the washing machine.
I'm not sure if I have insurance, so I probably don't.
Can this be repaired, or do I have to pay for a new one?
Thanks

There is a sticker inside that will tell Sprint in was in water and no insurance.

i left money and coins in my pocket that made it to the laundry machine, but a phone? wow ](*,)

most likely you're SOL.. it's not worth fixing a water logged phone anyway.

There is also a indicator in the internal part of the phone. Buy a new one

^^ throw it in the dryer since it's already washed.

ive submersed plenty of phones over the years and had them work again, granted none as advanced as the touch with its screen and all but i'd at least try leaving it on the radiator for a day or so with battery out, circuit boards don't break when they get wet (infact they get washed at the end of the production line) they just break when you pass current through while wet.

yeah, if u can get the phone out the water within 2 seconds.

there is an article here about that.

if the phone was off when it touched water then there is probably a 80% chance it will power on if it has been left to dry long enough.

anyway, we're getting rather technical here..
