No evdo on Alltel Touch
 

My Touch will show no signal with evdo, then go to 3 bars in 1x, then searching, and back to evdo with no signal. Constantly cycling. Can't get online, send text, or update weather, etc. Would this most likely be software or a hardware problem? I ordered a replacement, but would rather fix the one I have than get a refurb. Thanks

Do you have evdo in your area? I don't have evdo on mine at home, but as soon as I get somewhere with evdo it works perfectly. Sometimes it's the stupid answers ya know?

There is EVDO in my area, and it won't connect anywhere. I've used the 6800 and Q in the same areas with no problems. Tech support said they could see it try to connect then disconnect.

Take the phone back...get replacement...thats what I would do!

Alltel is releasing a new rom for the touch today. NOt officially release but is available on htc site. Might want to try this 1st before you do replacement.

If the phone is less than a month old, take it back where you got it and have them DOA it and give you a brand new one in store. Accept no other alternative.

I heard it would be available yesterday, but can't find the download. Do you have a link? It's supposed to include RevA.

New touch is going to have old rom. Same problem may continue. I would flash new rom as it is a officail alltel rom and try it. Even then i would also do a doa then flash new rom.
