Shaking screen on Verizon VX6900
 

I just received my Verizon touch on Friday. Has anyone else noticed this problem (either on the Verizon or Sprint Touch). Sometimes, the screen kinda shakes up and down quickly, lasting a few seconds (or until I turn off the screen). Is this a known normal operation or is mine FUBAR? Thank you in advance!!

Are you referring to while its vibrating/ringing ?

Nope; not when vibrating. It is when the screen is on; the screen shakes a bit, up and down. It does not happen all the time, only occasionally.

Is it possible that you are talking about when the screen redraws after a soft reset? The things on the screen (time, appointments, tasks, etc.) will move around rapidly sometimes.

:) No, no. I've been using Pocket pc since the Jornada days; this is different. It's like the screen is quickly vibrating up and down, not losing any image space but shaking, If I could capture it I would. Perhaps I can get it do do it on camera for me.

Definitely not normal. I have the Sprint Touch & Ive never encountered that issue. Try an exchange because you should be within your 30days still.

Darnit. I hope this is not a thing with the Verizon touch. I'm worried that if I get another one the same thing will be happening.

I am calling tech support this evening (that is always fun). The only thing I can think of is that it might be the screen protector affecting a sensitive HTC touch? I'll try taking it off later to see if that is it, but that's the only other thing I can think of.
