Difference Between Sprint Email and Outlook?

So it seems that my Sprint Touch has both outlook and a program called sprint moblie email installed. I would like to know what is the differene between these two? It seems like when I setup an account using sprint mobile email it just setups an account in outlook? I will be using my touch to check three different imap email account daily. What is the best way to do this, through sprint mobile email or just directly with outlook.

Thanks!

I would use system Seven...It is the same people as Sprint Email but you can put 5 dif email accounts to sync with. It is much more battery efficient it syncs about 5 mins for imap and every 10 min for pop3 acoounts

I use system Seven too, allows me to add more email accounts.

Recap: Sprint --> Push Email.
Outlook --> Push email not supported (default).

System Seven -- Same company that developed Sprint's Email program. This one allows me to add more than one account compared to Sprint's Email program.

yup

does seven use pop at all? Atleast with gmail i cant get it to do pop only imap. If i turn of imap in my gmail settins the app logs in and turns it on for me (very thoughtful of them huh?)

When I used Seven, it seem to me that it drained my battery much quicker. I tried it both with delayed checks and every X minutes. You have to have the program running in the background inorder for you to get your emails. Whereas with the sprint email program, you don't have to have it running in the background. I ended up taking the program off and went back to sprints email (which is made by the same company).

Sprint Mobile Email does run in the backround, it is put in the startup folder and starts automatically w/o a window popping up...Seven just opens a window as well to confirm it is connected. Also Seven is more than just one email account, it is able to connect 5, and also has full support of html. I don't notice much more battery drain esp. since i have aol and sprint syncing 24/7. I guess it just comes down to personal preference.

I went to seven and didn't like it too much it was nice to be able to sync multiple emails, however it didn't allow for much customization. It was very annoying that it would tell you ever time it synced your email and then notify your when you recieved your emails. My phone already notifies me I don't need 2 notifications, also I didn't like that you couldn't adjust the push time, while with the sprint email you can. To each their own I guess they are both free so check them out, I have a feeling since seven is a beta it will be better when they release the next version
