Any word on an update - 1st quarter almost over...

I've been reading posts here and that said Sprint would likely have an update for the Touch out by the end of the 1st quarter of 2008. It would turn on GPS and wifi, etc.

So it's almost April. Any news? I haven't seen anything on Sprint's site about this.

Will the Rev A upgrade turn on WiFI also? I thought it was a hardware thing?

No wifi on touch.

what dumbass company would not enable wifi on their phone from start go since it's not network related? Again, Sprint Touch does not have Wifi capabilities.

no WIFI issue is HTC's fault not Sprint... and the update was for the mogul no the touch, sprint doesnt have any recorded date for a new rom....most likely a year in 2009 u guys will. Switch to the mogul

HTC/Sprint probably figured that with their network, you wouldn't need wifi. That and w/out wifi they could make a slimmer, sleeker phone.

OK, but my question goes back to the original post by Lawman08. When Rev A comes out for the Touch, it still will NOT have Wifi, correct? Because of the chip they used for CDMA?

Just wondering if that post was wishful thinking, or came from some reliable source?
