text notification ringtone

is there a way to assign a ringtone so when an incoming text arrives? all it has is the default one but i would like to assign my own ringtone for it

drop the file either on your sd card or in /windows/rings then set it via settings->sounds and notifications

Actually, if it is an MP3 file, it needs to be in the Windows root directory...
