[Programes] [Settings]

Can anyone help me? I'm looking to make two shortcuts. The two i would like to make are Underneath the start menu, at the very bottom. There's the programs folder and the settings. Where do I go to make shortcuts for these two? Thanks T M Z:???:

If you go to the file manager and go to Windows->Start Menu you can select either Programs or Settings. Once you select it go to Menu->Options->Copy. After this you can go to Menu->Options->Paste Shortcut. Obviously you can paste the short cut anywhere you want.

Not sure, my programs folder is full of stuff but the settings folder is empty.

May we ask what exactly you are trying to do that you need to make shortcuts of these to access them?

If you have the HTC Vogue (which you should since this is the Vogue forum) you should have two programs in your \Windows folder, one called "htcPrograms.exe" and the other is "htcSettings.exe" These programs open the folder that is implied in their name, so if you create a shortcut to these programs it should work.

Music man,

I went under windows, and these are the folders I have, IA zip temp, activesync, appbuttons, appdb, appmgr, arlhelp,

extradumpfiles, favorites, fonts, help, lic, messaging, oem, profiles, programs, rings, start menu, startup, system, temporary

in. These are the folders that are in the windows program. If I tap on the program folder it is empty. If I tap on the start

menu folder the first folder is programs again, and it does have all my programs in it. The second folder is settings. Which is

empty. Underneath that there is file explorer, internet explorer, java, live search, notes, pictures and vid, and sprint tv. But

there is no "htc program .exe or htc settings.exe" Am I in the wrong place? Thanks T M Z

P.S. I do have the htc touch 6900 with stock rom wm6.

P.S.S. I am trying to make the settings as a soft key,and the programs go to a page a have.

P.S.S.S I found them down lower thanks....

I too am trying to create a shortcut to the WM6 Settings (Control Panel) screen in Ultimate Launch but cannot figure out what file I need to point to for the shortcut. I do not see the htcprograms.exe or htcsettings.exe files in the \Windows\ folder on my XV6900 Touch. Any help would be appreciated.

You might want to try Quick Menu it is a cascading start menu and i believe the two folders you want are in the drop down menu its also customizeable and cascading. I don't know if this is exactly what you want but it's worth a try and its a nice program
