I realize the reply is a bit dated, however I just got Worms World Party as well, and after fiddling with it long enough got it to work on the Touch.

Key bindings can be set in the WWPSave.dat ... I included a modified version for the touch here:

For those interested, you need to edit the file in a hexeditor...10a is fire, 10b jump, 10c backflip. Those need to contain the keycodes (I used enter (center dpad) which is 86 for fire; green send key (72) for jump and red send key (73) for backflip.
