the OP says "if anyone is able to help me in any way", and I was just showing how a little pre-planning eliminates the need for something (I thought) had a high Unobtanium content.

However, a quick google shows that there exists a thing called a "Spectec SDV-842 Video-To-Go microSD Card" that is exactly what he wants - Composite, S-video, and VGA out. And a IR remote for playback control(!).

Assuming it works as advertised.

Be sure to buy one and let the rest of us know how it works. The door on the touch certainly won't cooperate in this affair.

However, I'd wait for the next version that has its own microSD slot, to hold the movie that is on the microSD card you take out when you plug this thing in. Unless you are streaming video etc. but then you might not need the video out feature on the Touch because you would just play the stream on a local computer.
